UPPERCASE makes every letter a capital letter, while lowercase makes every letter small. These are straightforward transformations and are useful when text has been pasted in the wrong style.

What is title case?

Title case capitalises the main words in a title, for example “How to Write a Better Headline”. Exact rules differ between style guides, particularly for short words such as and, of, to and the.

What is sentence case?

Sentence case generally capitalises the first word of a sentence and leaves most other words lowercase, while preserving capitals that are genuinely needed for names or abbreviations.
