Useful tips

  • •The high-quality and medium versions can have different aspect ratios or letterboxing from the original upload, so check the preview before using one.

Which thumbnail sizes can YouTube provide?

YouTube commonly exposes medium, high, standard and maximum-resolution thumbnail variants. According to the YouTube Data API documentation, standard and maximum-resolution sizes are only available for some videos, while the exact dimensions can vary with the source content.

Why is maximum resolution missing?

Not every video has a true maximum-resolution thumbnail. The downloader filters out the small fallback image YouTube can return when a larger size is unavailable, so you only see usable versions.

Does Wid9et upload the YouTube video?
