How to use Social Post Preview

Useful tips

  • • Treat the preview as a layout check rather than a pixel-perfect replica. Social platforms regularly change spacing, fonts, crops and interface controls.
  • • Check important text and faces away from the edges of an uploaded image because platform crops can vary by feed, device and placement.
  • • Use the live character count as a writing aid, then confirm any current platform-specific limits in the platform itself before posting.

Does this publish my post?

No. It is a visual planning tool only and does not connect to or publish on LinkedIn, X, Instagram or Facebook.

Is the preview exact?

No. The layout is intentionally approximate. Actual feeds can differ by app version, screen width, media format, account type and later platform design changes.

What happens to an image I add?

The image is previewed locally in your browser. It does not need to be uploaded to Wid9et for this preview.

Why is Instagram different from the other previews?

Instagram feed posts are media-led, so the preview places the image before the caption. Without an image it shows a media placeholder rather than pretending a normal text-only feed post exists.

Can I save the post text?

Use Copy Post Text to copy the current wording to your clipboard. The preview itself is not posted or stored as a social draft.
