How to use Add Page Numbers to PDF

  1. 1Choose a PDF and check the detected page count.
  2. 2Choose the first and last pages to number, the starting number, number format, position, font size, distance from the edge and colour; use Previous and Next to spot-check the numbered pages.
  3. 3Press Add Numbers & Download to create a new numbered PDF. Your original file remains unchanged.

Useful tips

  • •Set From page to 2 or later when you want to leave a cover or front matter unnumbered.
  • •The 'of' formats use the last displayed number as the total, so numbering 5-14 ends with Page 14 of 14.
  • •The preview is scaled for convenience; the downloaded PDF uses exact PDF-point placement on each original page.

Can I skip the cover page?

Yes. Set From page to 2, or any later page, and only the chosen range will receive numbers.

Can numbering start at 0 or another number?

Yes. Starting number accepts whole numbers from 0 upward, independent of the physical PDF page number.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF is read and modified locally in your browser. Wid9et only loads the PDF-processing libraries used by the tool.
